Time to add more mods

Hola, /r/construction. I apologize for not being as diligent as I should recently. My new job is clearly going to take up a lot of time, and it isn't fair to let the subreddit suffer.

I agree with the requests to add new, more active moderators. Ideally, I would like to add 4 or 5 new mods. I hope to include a mix of active community members and experienced reddit mods (I work with several and will summon a few in the comments for public consideration).

Basically, the work consists of:

-checking the new queue and removing spam then banning said spammers

-reading and responding to modmail

-reading comment threads and removing overt shittiness (racism, sexism, homophobia, general douchebaggery, "political" distractions irrelevant to the industry…anything posted purely to be disrespectful or cause drama)

-reviewing modqueue to mark posts as approve/remove/spam

The most important factor will be objectivity. Don't take anything personally, it's the internet and people will flame the shit out of mods. The Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory is real.

If you are interested in being added as a mod, please post a top level comment below letting everyone know a bit about why you want to be a mod, and anything else you want to share about your job while staying anonymous. I think it would be good to have a mixture of trades and levels, as well as PMs, admin, management, etc. There is no limit to the amount of mods we can add, but it is best to add a few and train them so they can help new mods learn as the subreddit grows.

I would love to see the community vote via up and downvotes, but replies in support or otherwise to the applicant's comment will carry more weight. Don't use alts, because that shit is obvious.

Let's give this a week and follow up next Saturday.
